The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company is a well organised ferry company operating ferry crossings from a variety of UK cities to the Port of Douglas.

Crossings from Heysham run twice a day and are served by the Ben-my-Chree, a reputable vessel that makes the journey in around 3 hours, 30 minutes. Services also operate three times a day from Liverpool to Douglas.

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has a modest selection of vessels with varying passenger capacities. The Ben-My-Chree is capable of carrying up to 500 passengers and 275 vehicles, while the SuperSeaCat II is an express boat operating the Heysham-Douglas route, with a capacity to carry 690 persons including crew as well as 147 vehicles.

Both of the company's ships are fitted with a variety of facilities aimed at making passengers more comfortable during their journey including features such as lounges, bars and cafés.
